Description
Kwark (also known as Quark) is moist, snowy white in colour with a subtle taste similar to sour cream but with the texture of cottage cheese. It is made from partially skimmed milk and is most often eaten with fruit, nuts, vegetables and salads. This soft thin creamy cheese is usually an essential ingredient in baking cheesecakes and pastries.
Did you know? : Dr. Johanna Budwig’s flaxseed oil and quark cheese diet has been known to help cancer patients, even “curing” them on certain occasions.
Common uses: Quark can be used as a sour cream substitute to top baked potatoes, and as an ingredient in a variety of dishes including cheesecakes, dips, salads and sauces.
